One of my favorite things about the holidays is staying in pajamas, drinking coffee and reading in the morning and at night. I have a large stack of books to read and I am looking forward to it! Right now, I am reading Ungifted by Gordon Korman. It was recommended by one of our 8th graders and I am really enjoying it. Here are some other books I would like to read over the break...

I know it's been a long time since I have blogged. We have been busy here in the library with classes, teachers, and helping set up our Rachel's Challenge Event! At home, I have been reading After Iris at home. This book has been recommended to me by a few ladies at the Blue Willow Bookshop. I have really enjoyed it and hope to finish it this weekend! Blue is a young girl who lives in London with a quirky older sister and two younger siblings. She is struggling because her twin Iris passed away three years ago and since then she has felt invisible. It feels like her family is falling apart and that her older sister is invading her life. Even though I haven't finished reading this book, I would highly recommend it. It's a great story of hope and family. |
